  1. The Status of Patience

The status of patience is well known in the religion of Islaam, it is half of Eemaan (faith) as Allaah says:

“And We made them leaders guiding by Our command because they were patient and had full certainty in Our signs.” [3:24]

So half of the religion of Islaam is made up of patience and the other half (is made up of) certainty.

The position of patience in the religion is magnificent and the mere fact that salaah was coupled with it in the verse (1) is also a proof of its magnificence.

[Taken from: “The Virtues Of Salaat” by Shaykh Saalih Al-Fawzaan, p.31]

Footnotes: (1) This is in reference to Allaah’s saying, “O you who believe, seek assistance with patience and the prayer, indeed Allaah is with those who are patient.” [2:155]

  2. Surat Ash Sharh [94:5]
You’ll never see a rainbow without going through a little rain, so no matter how tough things may get, don’t give up, or despair. Persevere in patience, turn to Allah SwT for guidance and support and understand that there is a wisdom behind trials that we’re not always able to perceive.  Surat Ash Sharh [94:5]

  3. Surat at Tawbah 9:40
Never despair or give up hope because you never know what Allah has planned for you.
“Things aren’t always as they seem. Umm Musa was told to throw her son in the river, Yusuf was left for dead in a well, Maryam delivered a child alone, Ayesha was accused of a terrible sin, Yunus was swallowed by a whale, Ibrahim was thrown in the fire, Muhammad lost the love of his life Khadija, and Umm Salamah thought no one could be better than Abu Salamah.(Peace be upon them). Yet look at how it turned out for them in the end… So don’t worry, Allah has a plan for you.” Surat at Tawbah 9:40

  5. All things in life start small and then grow bigger: humans, animals, projects, movements — everything. Everything except calamities, which start big and then grow smaller. So be patient, and know that things will get better; for with every difficulty comes ease, with every difficulty comes ease…
